Primavera Inspire for SAP version 8.0 released

There’s definitely a trend that is growing steam amongst companies that use Enterprise Project Management systems like Primavera P6.  It’s integrating cost and schedule data into a single system.  We’re finally realizing that there a just too many cost management spreadsheets that get produced every time a project manager asks for a progress report.

Oracle Primavera’s Inspire solution allows cost and schedule data to move back and forth between P6 and SAP.   Oracle has just released Primavera Inspire version 8 with some improvements:

  • Better performance and memory management:  A known bug in Inspire caused the tool to essentially hang when syncing large projects to SAP.  That bug has been fixed with Release 8.
  • Improved Materials Management integration with SAP
  • Compatibility with all versions of Primavera P6 EPPM upto release 8.2
